老钱：支持Kelly当我们的市长 Vote Kelly Stewart as Johns Creek citky Mayor

2025年8月12日晚6点，Ms. Kelly Stewart 的市长竞选启动会在 Johns Creek 的 Sapphire Banquet Hall 圆满举行。On August 12, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., Kelly Stewart’s Johns Creek mayor campaign kickoff event was successfully held at the Sapphire Banquet Hall in Johns Creek.
我认识Kelly，已经是10年前了。那时，我们Johns Creek市正在一系列的竞选公职的活动中。一场是Kelly等竞选州议员。一场是一个华人/林怡正竞选市议员。林怡正竞选的正是Kelly为了竞选州议员而空出的市议员的位置。那一年的竞选，对于我们亚特兰大华人来说意义重大。不仅仅是我们成功地帮助了林怡正竞选上了市议员。也是开创我们华人积极参与美国的主流社会，投身美国国家大事的良好潮流。我也因此认识了主流社会的热心公共事务的众多人士，包括Ms. Kelly Stewart。It was 10 years ago when I knew Ms. Kelly Stewart。那时，Kelly已经是一个热心参与了从市到州各层次的政府管理的，有十多年丰富经历的知名人士。不过，自那以后，她退出了公共事务。Then, Ms. Kelly Stewart had more than 10 year‘s experience in public affaires。
十年之后，在7/12的一次早餐会上我们再次遇见。她告诉我，要竞选JC市长。几句话就让我们以常识为基础基本看法高度共鸣。我非常高兴见到她。也很好奇她隐退了十年再次出山。。。After 10 years, we met again on a breakfast gathering. She told me that she decided to run the election for the mayor of JC city because of a lot of serious problem in our city. We have a lot of same oppionions about the city affairs. I am very glad to hear her decision.
她告诉我，不得不出来了，因为我们的市政出现了很多问题，让很多市民忧心仲仲，有识之士纷纷劝说她出来，改变，阻止不良发展趋势。这些不良状况也让她不能袖手旁观。于是她挺身而出了。She told me that she didn't plan to run office again, but, a lot of people push her stand up because of the bad situation of our city. 所以就有了前天傍晚的Ms. Kelly Stewart 的市长竞选启动会，“启动会”的美语为Kick-Off。在华语的语境里就是“动员”。详见《Kelly Stewart 竞选Johns Creek 市长启动会报道》。So, Kelly Stewart’s Johns Creek mayor campaign kickoff event was held as mentioned at the beginning.
Ms. Kelly Stewart的演讲，语速平缓、表达清晰，数据详实，切合实际。令人震惊！Amid warm applause, Kelly Stewart took the stage. Speaking in a calm and well-organized manner, she supported her remarks with detailed data and concrete examples, making a convincing case to the audience.
不说不知道，听了吓一跳！She exposed a lot of problem with solid data support, which really shocked me.
首先，Kelly披露了，现任市长开始执政时，市政府人员为284名。他的3年半市长当下来，已有140多名离职。关键岗位，尤其是财务部门受到严重影响作。这必然深重地影响市政运作。In the three and a half years under the current mayor’s administration, more than half of the city government’s approximately 284 employees and now 140 have left, with key positions, particularly in the finance department, being severely impacted. Such a high turnover rate affecting city operations。
更加令人震惊的是其中有70多名警察消防队员等。这就造成了我们城市的安全的巨大的隐患和危机！It includes more than 70 who are police person and firefighter。This is greatly undermining the security of our city。这是极其令人瞠目结舌的数据/事实！这么高的离职率足以说明了问题严重的现状！绝不是花语巧语能够粉饰太平的。什么市长一任不到就能做到市政府的一半多人员不愿意干了？This is astonishing situation，which reflacts the poor leadership of the current mayor。
由于 Town Center 的建设，市里已经背负 1600 万美元债务。Because of the city Town Center，the city’s debt level has become relatively high, up to 16million。
更为火上浇油的是，现任市长还力主再建一个Performing Arts Center！总耗资达8千5百万！ 该项目可能使居民税负上升15%-17%。Even more，the current mayor planed a new project，PAC/Performance Arts Center，cost 85million dollar，more debt to the city！Eventually，this burden will ultimately be shared by every resident，which will cause the 17% up of city income tax.
更可恶的，这个项目直接导致其他公共服务（如消防与警力）预算被压缩。目前 Johns Creek 的警力配备为每千人仅一名警员，低于周边城市每500-800人的水平。周边城市每8000-14000人有一个消防站，而Johns creek是2万1千人才有一个消防站。随着 Town Center 建设带来的人口增长，消防站和消防车的资金需求将更加紧迫。 Even worse！The PAC‘s budget is planned to draw from other existing public budgets，which weakens the public security seriously！Now，the average date of the cities around are that one policeman services for 500-800 residents，and one firefighting station for 8000-14000 residents。Whereas，the JC‘s data are 1 and 21 thousand，corresponded。The JC’s security level is much lower than others。What is more，the Town Center will make the situation even worse！

就这些已经让我震惊了，不可思议，无法理解，不能容忍！The data so far really makes me shocked！
Kelly 呼吁市民将这些事实告诉更多不了解情况的朋友，并积极向市府提出质询、参与监督，以确保城市财政健康和公共服务均衡发展。她强调，只有透明、理性和负责任的规划，才能保障 Johns Creek 的可持续未来。So，Ms. Kelly Stewart calls us to broadcast these bad data to residents as much as we can, and encourage people to query the city and mayor。The Residents should involve in the public business related with everyone's interest to keep our city on the health direction。
我支持Ms. Kelly Stewart成为我们的市长，把我们的城市从华而不实，不顾民众，挥霍无度的执政行为，及时纠正过来。I firmly support her to run the election of mayor，to correct the current mess。
