First Step FundRaising Lemonade/Bake Sale First Step 筹款柠檬水/烘焙义卖

Right before school began, on August 3rd, 2024, our First Step team hosted Lemonade/Bake stands in two different locations. One was held at The Falls of Autrey Mill, a large subdivision in Johns Creek, whereas the other hosted in Cobblestone Community in Marietta. The purpose of the Fundraising was to donate to Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, a non-profit organization that strives to protect and conserve the Chattahoochee River’s ecosystem for the benefit of both humans and wildlife. At the time of the event, it was a hot, sunny afternoon. Our team consisted of around 17 volunteers across the two locations, as well as several others that made lemonade and pastries as their contribution since they couldn’t make it to the sale in-person. Some volunteers waved signs directing passersby to our stand, whereas others talked to the customers, including the information about our mission of keeping the Chattahoochee River clean. Thanks to the volunteers and community, this event was a success. We will continue to fundraise when we have the chance, and welcome those who would like to join us in the future.
